We strive to empower and engage youth in NYCH through three core areas:
Social Activism – Encouraging young people to raise their voices, advocate for change, and take active roles in shaping their communities.
Health & Wellness – Promoting mental, physical, and emotional well-being through access to resources, education, and support systems.

Summer Youth History Tour
In partnership with Curtis Reed of Black Packer Tours, we provide inner-city youth from NYCH and participants of the Summer Youth program with enriching historical guided tours throughout New York City. One of the key highlights includes a visit to Seneca Village in Central Park, where youth gain a deeper understanding of the city’s untold stories and rich cultural heritage. This initiative not only educates but also inspires young people by connecting them to the powerful legacy of their communities.

United States Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and New York City Council Majority Leader Amanda Farías have both visited the Roxanne Reid Community Garden—named in honor of the late community activist and mother of Co-Founder Donald Reid. Their visits reflect the garden’s significance as a symbol of community resilience, activism, and the enduring legacy of Roxanne Reid’s work in the Bronx.
